We believe you have enjoyed the holiday season with your near and dear ones. The year 2018 is lost in the layers of time leaving only some effects, achievements and essences. This is the eve of welcoming the new year full of hope and resolutions. At this happy eve, we could not resist but share some of the highlights of Nascenia in 2018. It was a year full of work, fun, and activities.

We started the year by arranging a programming contest in our office. It was a lot of fun!

We went to Japan to attend in Japan IT week held in Tokyo Big Sight. We met with some wonderful people there and started collaborating with some of them.

We attended in the CeBIT 2018 in Hannover and traveled to meet our partners and clients in Norway and Malta.

We challenged ourselves with a run of 10 Kilometers in Nascenia! Here you can see some tired, happy faces.

We helped some underprivileged talented students of Computer science and Engineering students by purchasing them laptops as part of our social responsibility. We had several interactive sessions with different universities in Bangladesh. Our expert teams went to IIUC (International Islamic University Chittagong) and IUT (Islamic University of Technology) to share their knowledge and experiences with the students, faculties and other related personnel. A team of students of CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) department of KUET (Khulna University of Engineering & Technology) visited Nascenia in last November as a part of their study tour.

Technology-wise, apart from working with Ruby on Rails, PHP and .net technologies, we delivered real-life projects to our clients with blockchain, C++ and augmented reality.

Our technical and business team wrote some wonderful pieces of articles in our blog which you might be interested to read.

We made some case studies based on our experience of working with our clients. You will get some good insights from there.

We started preparing some video contents to share our knowledge with rest of the world this year – it’s still experimental, however, you can provide your feedback there so that we can improve.  We worked for some of the big companies this year. One of them is PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Norway for whom we are building a cloud-based biofuel tax calculator. We built an android and iOS-based mobile applications for the second largest telecommunication company Robi Axiata in Bangladesh. After the launch, more than 1.5 million people downloaded and used it.

Apart from some of the big names, we worked with some startup concepts too, which are interesting. One of them was building a mobile application for measuring 3D depth for a Japanese company. After capturing a room or object, anything (i.e. furniture, door, window or distance between two points) inside a 3D model can be measured using the app. We have already built a proof of concept and are working to make it precise. Another one was a cryptocurrency trading platform for a company in Hong Kong using Ruby on Rails, Redis, and AngularJS.

At the end of the year, we got two great news. Some of our developers earned ITEE certifications and Amazon Cloud Associate certification. We got recognized by the Ministry of Industries in Bangladesh with a prestigious “Productivity and Quality Excellence Award”.

We took a breath and did some counting recently. You know what? We found that we worked in 98 projects for the companies in 20 countries across 5 continents!

In 2019 we want to grow by 40% and add more happy customers to our family! It will only be possible if you believe in us for implementing your ideas.

If you want to meet us anywhere in the world to discuss your project or idea in 2019, drop us a mail, we will try to meet you in person. If you want to discuss any idea with us for development or take consultancy services, just shoot us a mail – we will set up a conference call instantly.

We wish you all a happy and prosperous new year!
